I’ve grown rather cynical in my old age of 24. I’ve heard it said over and over that your mid-20’s are the worst years of your life, probably because I repeat that fact to myself every morning in the mirror. In an effort to harness that pessimistic energy and share it with you, I have comprised a list of things in life that just plain suck. These are things and experiences we all share, but rarely discuss. And so, my friends, I ask you to let the hate flow through you as we recognize these 30 things that suck....READ MORE

Most of you have probably left work hours ago, but for those of you who are just leaving or you're in the car driving to wherever you're going, this week's Friday Commute Mix is brought to you by Alex McGhee. A producer out of Dallas, Texas, he has only been producing for about seven months. But in that time he has received praise from artists such as 3LAU and Kap Slap. He makes great music and is a cool guy so you should like him on Facebook and follow his music.

This is all I would do if I made that much money.
With the economy still not in the best position and people consistently pointing fingers at the wealthy, a new study finds that there may be a reason for that. A study conducted by the Associated Press found that the average CEO made $9.6 million, up six percent from last year. The biggest difference now compared to earlier years is that a CEO's pay is more closely tied to company performance than before. CEOs aren't able to cash in their stocks right away and have to meet goals, but I doubt that most people will care about that after they see $9.6 million.

I don't think that CEOs should have to answer to anybody when it comes to their salary, but doesn't $9.6 million seem like a bit much? That's the average, which means that there are plenty who made well over that. At some point wouldn't your normal reaction be "I should probably help out somebody less fortunate, like all of the poor people, or Atkins." I've never even seen that much money before so I'm not really sure, maybe enough is never enough.

TL;DR The average CEO made $9.6 million last year which will probably seem extremely high to pretty much everybody.

I don't think that ass will take down the competition.
Cambridge University usually makes headlines for the brilliant minds and Nobel prize winners that come from there but this time it's for a bit of a different reason. Some girls of the university have entered themselves in a contest, submitting pictures of their asses to independent student website The Tab to find out who has the Rear of the Year. It hasn't gone without criticism though with many claiming that it harms the feminist movement and the university's reputation.

I see this as harmless fun and I'm not really sure why people are claiming it harms the feminist movement so I'm going to need to point something out. The feminist movement is defined as "a collection of movements aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights for women," from Wikipedia of course. As far as I can tell, because I can read, feminism is about equality and equal benefits for women. How does the way a woman portrays herself have any effect on that? Suddenly no women are allowed to appreciate their bodies because some have a problem with it? Makes sense to fight for equality then not allow women to choose what they want to do with their own bodies. That's a fight for equality if I've ever seen one.

TL;DR Women who have submitted their asses to compete for the Rear of the Year have come under fire from people saying it harms the feminist movement.

By now everybody should know that when Knife Party comes out with a song it's probably going to be something epic and Fuck 'Em is no different. SmoKe has added a little to it with the vocal edit from the UKF stream. The main song itself is a great heavy song with huge drops and unbelievable synths. If you wanted an epic electro song, this is it.

"Can't use it as evidence, I'm bringing it down to my truck."
Back in September 2011, Robert Dale Lee was on his way back from Chicago when police pulled him over for not wearing a seat belt and searched his car. In it they found 150 pounds of marijuana which seems like an amazing coincidence but DEA agents had planted a GPS-tracking device on his car without a warrant. Since that's against the law and police probably wouldn't have had any reason to search his car, that marijuana now most likely won't be able to be used against Lee in a court case.

The automatic reaction for everybody is most likely to be "but he had the weed, send him to jail." While I agree that's what probably should happen you can't go around putting GPS-tracking devices on people's cars. What if they stuck one to your car and pulled you over for soliciting prostitutes as you're known to do on the weekends? I bet you would have a big problem with them following your every movement then. So while I think that Lee probably should go to jail the law is the law and it should apply to everybody.

TL;DR DEA agents illegally used a GPS-tracking device to catch a drug runner but won't be able to use what he was running as evidence since they used the device illegally.

Personally I think this is the best type of warning for a speed trap.
For me getting pulled over for speeding is one of the worst feelings on the planet. The moment I see a cop I automatically assume that his sole purpose in life is to give me a ticket for something. That's why I like when other drivers warn me about speed traps coming up, they don't have to but they hate being pulled over as much as I do. A man in Florida has recently won a court case where the ruling was flashing your bright lights is protected under free speech and you can't be ticketed for it.

I've always wondered what would happen if a cop caught somebody doing that. Obviously they would be a little upset because you're pointing out their hiding spots when they're not supposed to be found. Personally I think that them hiding somewhere to catch a speeder is borderline cheating anyway, so it swings both ways. I think to make it more fun for everybody, if you pass a speed trap and nobody catches you, you should be able to hit the cop car with one egg. That would make them choose their hiding spots much more efficiently and it becomes a game for everybody.

TL;DR In Florida flashing your lights to warn others of speed traps is protected by the Constitution, not sure about everywhere else though.
