I'm a Boston die-hard but even I will point fingers in the directions that they're most deserving. Just because I'm from Boston doesn't mean I won't call out Boston fans who are acting like a bunch of douchebags. If you missed the Bruins vs. Capitals game last night you missed one of the most ridiculous overtime goals on the planet. The Bruins were caught in a line change and the Capitals rushed down to score. Joel Ward was the one who scored and plenty of Boston fans had a serious problem with it, apparently because he's black. Here are some examples:
"Charlie Cobb@ Skoal_Banditt - Joel ward you fucking nigger you suck 6 goals all season you fucking plug nigger bitch"
"Adam Begos@ Begos_8 - Joel Ward your a nigger. Holtby, get a life. I never wanna see Tim Thomas in a bruins jersey ever again #washedup #bum"
Classy. If you need more examples you can go here. I have to say it sucked losing Wednesday night, it sucks even worse waking up and realizing the rest of the world thinks Boston's fans are a bunch of classless scumbags. Don't get me wrong, black athletes will be the brunt of racist remarks in Boston because that's just the way it is. If you say otherwise you're either just blind or you don't acknowledge anything people say. There's a difference between making a joke that's colorful and edgy like "isn't a black person playing hockey against the rules?" and straight out calling somebody something blatantly racist though. It's a sad, sad day in Boston.
TL;DR Boston fans shame themselves as they immediately retort to calling Joel Ward a nigger for scoring the winning goal Wednesday night.
