During a child porn raid across the U.K. 50 police officers were arrested as suspected pedophiles in a group of 1,300. They're suspected of accessing or downloading child pornography from U.S.-based sites which doesn't exactly put us in a kind light. Officials wanted to be sure that just because some of those being accused were police officers the public deserved to know, to reassure them. Also, 40 children have been identified and taken with agencies to ensure their safety.

The assistant chief constable in the National Crime Squad at Scotland Yard said he wasn't surprised that there were this many police officers among the suspects, but I have to say that I am. Maybe it's just me, but I expect the police to hold themselves to higher standards and not look at pictures of naked kids online. Doesn't being a police officer automatically get you some recognition among the ladies anyway? Now everybody is going to assume every cop is a pedophile, because general blanket statements are what the public do best. Tubby donut eating pigs with a hankering for staring at kids, it's not the look you want for your police force.
