A Keene, Texas police officer pulled over 77-year-old Lynn Bedford for speeding. She was going 66 mph in a 50 mph zone, so it seems fair. Bedford told the officer that she had a bladder infection and had to go to the bathroom, but when Officer Gene Geheb asked for her license and insurance she told him no. She declined several more times until Geheb finally had enough and told her that he would arrest her if she wouldn't comply. She obviously didn't believe him so she told him no again. That's when he pulled her out of the car and arrested her. The Keene Police Department stands by Geheb stating that he followed policy.

I don't care how old you are, this is what happens when you downright refuse a reasonable request from a cop. You'll hear it from hippies how they were violated, protesters about how their constitutional rights were ignored, or even little old ladies saying they don't need to provide identification, the law is the law. If Bedford just gave the cop her license and insurance I'm sure he would have let her go. I've had a cop let me go after he pulled me over for going 85 mph in a 65 mph zone, all because I was late to a test. It could be because of my devilishly good looks or maybe my dreamy eyes, I don't know, I just know that cops usually aren't assholes unless you're an asshole first.
