Tonight NFL fans are in for a treat when the New York Giants (1-1) travel to Carolina to take on Cam Newton and the Panthers (1-1). Vegas currently has the Giants as a three-point underdog since news broke earlier in the week that starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw, starting wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, and starting offensive lineman David Diehl will all be out.

Last week, the Giants fought back at home to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to earn their first victory of the 2012 season. The Panthers overcame a late comeback attempt by Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints to also earn their first victory of the season.

If you're looking to wager on tonight's game, good luck. It's a very difficult game to cap considering the health of the New York Giants. Earlier in the week the Giants were a one-point favorite, but now are getting three points after news broke that several Giants weren't going to play.

Are the Carolina Panthers there yet to defeat the defending Super Bowl Champions at home? Despite the loss of several players on offense, the Giants still posses one of the best defensive lines in football and will be harassing Cam Newton all night. While each team can put up points, I tend to believe the over/under at 49 is a bit high. Manning will rely on Victor Cruz for a majority of the passing attack while Newton will do what he can against a stingy New York defense.

The Giants are also going to miss wide receiver Domenik Hixon on Thursday, so a lot of pressure will be put on Manning to lead the Giants without some of his favorite targets. I believe this game stays in the low 20s and won't eclipse 49.

We still need a winner however, and I think the home crowd is the difference in what's a close game the entire way.

Carolina: 21
New York: 17

TL;DR Injuries are too much to overcome as the Carolina Panthers should squeak past the New York Giants on Thursday night.
