Samuel Cutrufelli broke into 90-year-old Jay Leone's home and tried to rob him. He tied Leone up but Leone was able to gain access to a handgun he had in his home, at which point Cutrufelli shot him in the jaw. Leone returned fire and both men were seriously injured, but now Cutrufelli is suing Leone claiming he caused him "great bodily injury, and other financial damage, including loss of Mr. Cutrufelli's home, and the dissolution of Mr. Cutrufelli's marriage."

It's a great country we live in where a burglar can shoot you in the face and still have the right to sue you when you shoot him back. This is the type of person that growing up as a kid would cheat at every game he would play. You know the type of person I'm talking about; your friend who was such a douchebag you have no idea why he was your friend. You would play video games and he would quit right before you won every time. The kid who deserved to be punched in the face at every given moment but nobody would do it because you hoped he would just go away. This is the type of person that kid grows into.

TL;DR A burglar shoots a 90-year-old man in the face and sues him for "negligently" shooting back.
