There are certain things you shouldn't do because it endangers the lives of everybody around you. Things like drinking and driving or smoking pot laced with PCP and crashing your car because you thought you saw an imaginary elephant on the road. Samuel Phipps of New Castle, Del. got behind the wheel of his car Friday night after smoking PCP. I may be an amateur when it comes to ridiculous drugs, but even I know not to drive on PCP. When police found Phipps, he told them that the only reason he swerved was because there was an elephant running down the road.

I know this is Phipps' seventh DUI as he's terrible at making life choices but there's only one question on everybody's minds: was there an actual elephant in the road? It may have been the PCP messing with his mind or there may have been an actual elephant running amok. That's something that simply can't be overlooked. I'm no expert on elephants, but it's my assumption that they're pretty big creatures. You don't want to lock up Phipps right away then have a kid trampled to death at some point because it turns out an elephant actually did escape from the circus; it's only proper protocol.
