Did the lack of previews aimed at children concern nobody?
Nottingham's Cineworld made a terrible mistake when they accidentally showed the opening two minutes of Paranormal Activity 4 instead of Madagascar 3 that the audience of children was waiting to see. That small mistake led to children running from the theater in terror, most likely pissing and shitting themselves on the way, while some parents claim it could have scarred them for life. The theater apologized for the mistake and offered a refund with complimentary tickets, but I don't think that will do much for little Timmy who watched a bloody body be launched at the camera causing him to shit himself in public.

I'm not a child, at least I would like to think I'm not, but if this happened to me I would walk out of the theater and punch the first employee I saw in the face, man or woman. I hate scary movies to my core, but having one sprung on me in a surprise "fuck you and your inability to watch horror movies" moment would be enough to send me into a rage. I wouldn't even be prepared for it; sitting there waiting for the hilarious antics of animated wildlife on their third adventure, because there's apparently an audience for that type of thing, and now the child sitting next to me has a black eye because I punched her as I jumped out of my seat like a little girl. That doesn't make me look like much of a man and it's offensive.

TL;DR A movie theater accidentally shows Paranormal Activity 4 instead of Madagascar 3 to an audience of children.
